Salvatore “Sal” Taccetta grew up in the Hudson Valley and began his brewing career in 2015 after completing the Brewery Science & Service program in Buffalo, NY. From there, he honed his skills at breweries across New York State.

In 2022, Sal joined Hill City’s sister brewery, 18th Ward Brewing in Brooklyn, as Head Brewer. Over the past three years, his beers have earned recognition at the New York State Craft Beer Competition, a reflection of the care, creativity, and dedication he brings to every brew.

Now, Sal is making a career goal a reality: opening a brewery close to home.

We’re incredibly lucky to have him leading our brewing program at Hill City Brewing—and we can’t wait for you to taste what he’s been working on.

Jessica, General Manager of Hill City Brewing, is a transplant originally from Tucson, Arizona, and has been involved in the craft beer and cider industries since 2020.

When she’s not helping bring Hill City Brewing to life, you can usually find her catching a rugby match or working on her own ciders at home. She’s excited to bring her experience and passion for the craft to Hill City and, most importantly, help cultivate a space for the community to gather, connect, and enjoy a great beer.

With opening day getting closer, Jessica looks forward to welcoming guests through the doors and sharing what Hill City Brewing has been working toward.
